Everyone’s experiences and paths are unique. Every journey is its own struggle. My main goal is to connect with my clients as a person, help them feel understood and support them through their journey. I strive to use the therapeutic techniques most compatible with the client’s characteristics and needs. I have extensive theoretical training and practical experience in psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, and dialectic behavior therapy, and I can work effectively using a short term, more focused approach, as well as an open ended, exploratory approach.
I have over 14 years of experience working with diverse populations including young adults, geriatric clients as well as clients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Mood and Anxiety disorders. My approach is warm and accepting and I will work with clients in developing tools to learn coping skills as they move forward through their life’s journey.
I graduated with a Master of Science Degree from Pittsburg State University in 2001 and have since worked with adults and young adults in community mental health and University settings. I am multilingual and able to converse fluently in English, Hindi and Telugu. I see clients Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
